    Heating element

Cheers Chaps, Reputable company did the wiring, and I have got a certificate - or is that just for the consumer unit? If I turn the rad off at the fused /switched spur, the lights work fine. I will look at the MCB's in the consumer unit to see how many circuits there are. At a push I...

    Heating element

Thanks for replying guys, The element did work before I got my hands on it. It is the MCB that keeps tripping. I suspect I have got water in there, but its only when I try to turn the rail on that it trips. Can I simply replace the element or do I need to do more explorative stuff -...

Hi Guys, Got a bit of bother with a towel rail. I think the heating element needs replacing, but I don't know how to do this without getting wet. I do not know the difference between the two valves taking water in and taking water out in order to isolate the rail from the CH system. I...

RedHerring, I think it was just an 'old' turn of phrase. I am talking about the new DPMs. Regarding the new DPM to old DPC; The slate is a bit knackered, so I dont think I will get a good joint unless I chase out the underside. I see what your saying about bringing it up 50mm, but it...
