40mm bath waste into existing cast iron tee

The metal pipe is below, presumably cast iron. I wanted to remove it all so you could see but that tape is really tough, didn't have a knife with me to remove it

40mm bath waste into existing cast iron tee

Hi guys, could you help me out with the correct method of installing a bath waste into the above? I've attached a picture of my horizontal 40mm waste pipe dry fitted into the existing cast iron tee. I have cut back some of the stuff (hemp?) that was wrapped around the old waste. I suppose if...

ProAction (or HAUS?) WQP8-9249G dishwasher not heating up

I realize you meant the mains plug I meant I wasn't sure what the 'heater plug' was. Presumably I guessed right and it is the pink and the pink/red connections that I tried. Do you think I could have damaged it in transit (on its side), it was a short journey and carefully lifted in and...

not sure quite what you mean by the 'plug'? I've uploaded a video http://youtu.be/5GpUh5L-IXs I pulled out the plug with the pink wire and the plug with the pink and the red wire. When I touch one probe to each contact I don't get a reading ie presumably maximum resistance. I tested the...

    Shower problems

Anybody know how to remove the fascia from an ancient Triton t50? I've unscrewed the screw underneath, tried prying it off but it doesn't want to come off. There's a screw in the middle of the temperature dial, does the dial have to be removed to remove the fascia? The screw head on mine is so...

ProAction (or HAUS?) WQP8-9249G dishwasher not heating up

Thanks, I transported it on its side. I'll get the panel off to get another picture, see if I can see the element as you describe. How would I know if there's enough water? Run it while the panels are off to see it filling (the translucent plastic part? Is that what you call the tub?)...

ProAction (or HAUS?) WQP8-9249G dishwasher not heating up

I took the back and top panel off and most of one side. Removing this side panel is tricky because the remaining screws holding it on are difficult to access as the bottom panel (small section under the door) is in the way. Maybe I will have to turn it upside down or on its side to remove this...

I bought it from gumtree, assured it was working, looked in vgc... I was hoping it was a 're-brand' of a more common make so parts would be interchangeable.

Ok I'll try that, do you know how it's accessed on this type? It's a slimline model. Also, it would be really handy to know if I anyone knows where I could get an appropriate replacement as otherwise there's no point starting...

ProAction (or HAUS?) WQP8-9249G dishwasher not heating up

My dishwasher won't heat the water up, everything else seems to work fine though. I am considering attempting to replace the heating element. I couldn't find anything on the web regarding this job, or the correct replacement part, except that this model is sometimes rebranded as 'Haus'. Any...
