Ooh I see. But I threw the old fuses away I think. It did cost me a bit go get sorted though. Thanks for that. Any idea if I can use the micro temps recommended by the shop as a replacement for the thermal links. ?

    Creda Storage Heater

The mcb that failed was the one in the centre. The heat from the combustion damaged the two outer ones. They where Sector brand.

    Creda Storage Heater

To confirm the meter at the top is mine. And yup the blue button scrolls through two tariffs and the total. Also I think the rcd blew because there's no thermal protection on them and the constant supply through them will have made them over heat. ? Or am I wrong. ?

    Creda Storage Heater

Hi. Forgot to mention the bottom meter is not mine. It's for the communal area. As far as I know there is no heating in it just lights. The top meter is mine. From the wiring I can't see how it goes into the teleswitch. Could this mean my supply to the storage heaters is always live. ...

    Creda Storage Heater

Hey Guys. I have 3 Storage heaters in my property. 2 x Creda 79162 1 x Creda 79152. A few month ago i noticed a burning smell in the kitchen, then realised it was the RCD for the E7. One of the fuses had burnt, and taken the two adjacent fuses out even though the other two connnected...

Fan heater and Cooker extractor on same circuit?

Hi, Thanks for your response. The extractor has a normal 3 pin plug which i presume is fused. Can i just put a normal socket for that then? Does it still need to be a switched fuse? I presume the fan heater does have a 13a, as its 2kw. My main thing is i want to keep the additional...

Hi Guys. I currently have a 2kW downward electric fan heater on one kitchen wall, It has its own isolator swicth. I want to move it to an adjacent wall, do i need to add another isolator switch? Also, i want to add a electrical extractor fan to the same area, it just happens that this is...

Moving 2kw Electric wall mounted fan heater

Hi guys thanks for the responses. Thanks for the link, it made a lot of sense. I forgot to mention, i dont plan on concealing the cables in the walls. My plan is to use the white plastic surface mount ducting in both locations. In the bathroom it will be about a meter away from the...

Moving 2kw Electric wall mounted fan heater

Hi, Thanks for responding so quick. By Zone do you mean like splash zones within the kitchen and bathroom? Both the bathroom and kitchen move will be further away from the water sources. The wires will definitely not be a new circuit.

Moving 2kw Electric wall mounted fan heater

Hi Guys. As some of you may have seen, i live in a flat that is all electric. In the kitchen and bathroom there are wall mounted electric fan heaters. I think both are rated at 2kw each. On the Fuse box there is a separate fuse for each heater. Each heater also has a wall switch...

Hi Thanks for your response. Dont worry about what you wrote in the red :D Thats good as long as it works. Maybe i was just shocked at how much it actually costs me to heat one room using Storage heaters for a night. I am used to a gas central heating, for the whole house (My bill for my...

    Bathroom Extractor Fan

Thanks guys for your replies. I have asked them, they said they will get back to me. I dont like the idea of opening the window, especially because the window faces into the main car park, and the window is directly outside the bath / shower. Also it would mean all the heat escapes...

    Economy 7 Heating and Supply

I shall post some up on Sunday night. That may explain the cost, but then that would mean through winter i would be spending over £100 on heating just 3 heaters. Thats not including lighting, electric shower, hot water, tv and other devices! I think i definitely need a timer on the fuse box!

    Bathroom Extractor Fan

Hey All. I have moved into a flat that doesnt have an extractor fan or an air brick at all. It has an electric shower. The bathroom is quite small and has a window. I noticed for the past few days while it has been cold that their is a lot of humidity and condensation after showering so...

Hotpoint Washing Machine WF340 wont switch on

So i took out the display board there was no damage. I then read around and looked at the control board, there is definitely some soot damaage on it around a large capacitor and a diode. I presume this is gone. I contact EMW electronics, they said the parts will cost £68, but they said send...

    Economy 7 Heating and Supply

You hit it on the head. I remember going away for the weekend a few weeks ago, and one storage heater had cost me around £6. I know the storage heaters alone are connected to a seperate RCD, but there is nothing indicating it is a timer. or built in.

    Economy 7 Heating and Supply

Hey guys. They said they didnt offer E10. They have now changed the meter from a Prepayment meter to a normal meter. I found the engineer from Meter Plus a right pain. Anyways, he changed it to a normal E7 meter. Although i did notice the time was set an hour back. i.e. yesterday when...
