Hi Guys. I currently have a 2kW downward electric fan heater on one kitchen wall, It has its own isolator swicth.

I want to move it to an adjacent wall, do i need to add another isolator switch?

Also, i want to add a electrical extractor fan to the same area, it just happens that this is on route from the RCD to the fan heater. Can i put that on the same circuit?

Thanks

I expect that the extractor fan requires a fuse in the supply? What size does the maker require?

My guess is that the fan heater will have a 13A fuse? If that is too big, you would need to fit another switched fuse, with the required fuse for the fan, as a spur to the fan heater supply.

Hi, Thanks for your response.
The extractor has a normal 3 pin plug which i presume is fused. Can i just put a normal socket for that then? Does it still need to be a switched fuse?

I presume the fan heater does have a 13a, as its 2kw.

My main thing is i want to keep the additional wiring down to a minimum, so would rather have one supply from that.

Conveniently i can leave the old supply to the heater on the original wall, change the fuse and supply a inline extractor for the bathroom and kitchen to the outside.
