Thanks, my issue is space, otherwise that would be my first option for sure.
yes found the other thread after I posted, hehe.
Even if I can pre heat to 20 or 30 C would cut oil usage by loads I think.
So with fuel prices going super high, I am looking at some options to save on oil use.
I have a Worcester 12/18 Combi Oil boiler, feeding UF Heating system via an accumulator tank, and of course bathrooms for hot water.
I have access to 7Kw of free Electric from a Solar Farm with storage, so...
Private supply on my own annex mate, so no issue at all :)
Oh and up here in Scotland, more than a roof is needed, with the sideways rain, and hoolies :)
Hi All,
So I am going to take the roof off a cottage, and build a new floor. How do I protect the Cutout, meter, and CU that are mounted on the wall inside? I need to stay on supply as they feed garage. Maybe external box?
It was a local Dundee company, can't fault it, turned up at 08:00 this morning, and done by 10:00
Turns out they do this all the time, right equipment and knowhow makes a difference.
Looking at attached enigneers drawing, am I right in assuming they are asking basicly for a wood frame to be built on top the the exsisitng solid stone walls?
I am trying to get back to stone, ready to build new insulated walls inside, and the fireplaces stick out too much. I have no se for them at all, so trying to get as flush to the old stone as possable.
