    Extending power to second shed

Yep, that's about it, so would the 1.5mm be sufficient, or should I go for say 4mm for a bit of "belt and braces" for the sake of £30 or so, or would it still be advisable to get an electrician to take a look?

    Extending power to second shed

Oops, forgot laptop, say 20v 4amps. Just rechecked the amperage on the other items and the figures do seem right. A couple of dew heaters may be needed in the future at about 10 amps total but still only 12volts

    Extending power to second shed

Thanks for the comments everyone, looks like I may have to get an electrician in. Wasn't planning to do this until next year when the new shed was to be erected, but looks like I may have no choice. Is there a possibility that the extra 15 metres of cable would be larger gauge than the existing...

    Extending power to second shed

Can anyone advise me on what cable to lay between an existing shed and a new one. The current shed is supplied from a separate circuit on the house consumer unit, the current armoured cable is about 45 meters in length and is marked as 3 X 6.0 and runs to a small consumer unit in the shed. I...

Advice and Recommendations for Cleaning Roughcast

The telescopic pole certainly is an option, just found a 17 ft one on amazon but dont think it will be long enought to reach the top of the gable end. The nilfisk is very good, but wont work directly from a water butt so I would need to get a pump. While I was looking for the telescopic pole, I...

Advice and Recommendations for Cleaning Roughcast

Hello My house has roughcast finished walls which are starting to get a stain which looks red/orange when rubbed with a damp cloth. I gather that this is algae. I understand that this type of finish should be soft washed rather than pressure washed and preferably not with a bleach based...

    Resurfacing Concrete

Thanks for the suggestions Ive just had some ballast and mastercrete delivered to start on the first slab, the back of the mastercrete says concrete should be at a ratio of 4:1 with the ballast, is this a good mix for this purpose?. Also, since my original post, I have pressure washed both...

    Resurfacing Concrete

I have a raised concrete area about 25 square meters with a shed perched on top. The area is comprised of two slabs. One is solid but has a crack running across it, the surface of the other slab is crumbling, but otherwise seem solid. There is a manhole on one slab that sits between the septic...

    Holey Water Tank

Thanks both for the suggestions. I’ve used the pu foaming glue for several woodworking projects, good stuff, impossible to clean off your hands :¬). Not really thought of this for plastic, but unfortunately its not suitable for permanently submersed areas. However, there may be something...

    Holey Water Tank

Hi We have just moved into a new house and in the garden there are a couple of large plastic barrels that would make great water butts, Unfortunately, they have previously used for growing and have holes about 25 to 30 mm in diameter drilled in the bottom of them them for drainage. Can anyone...

    Garden Wall

I have mentioned that I want to do something with it, so I dont think it will be a problem. But I will discuss with them when I know what I want to do

    Garden Wall

Hi I have a 4 foot wall between my property and my neighbours, the ground level on the neighbours side is about 2 feet higher than on my side, so when there has been rain, the wall (made of concrete block) looks quite a mess. I would like to tidy my side of the wall and was wondering if there...
