    Cheers There isn't much drop on it. I think the problem lies that the doors close right above or even 1mm in of the flat part of the door sill. So when water runs down the door or somehow pools under it. IF you look at the middle picture showing a close up of the open door, the brown seal...

    Hopefully these show the extra flap of wood added, which water gets behind. The door sill which is always wet and the corner which has come apart.

    Had French doors fitted in the summer . When they close, it seems the doors sit inside the lip, so water pools under them. I asked for a small strip of wood to create an overhang but think the water runs behind this. As you can see from the photos the doors have swollen. So what to do...

    Cheers for all the tips Dextraneous thanks for the props, bit and small platform. Boards have been removed, netting up, spoke to building regs lady and cracking on again, hopefully with less mistakes Plus i've built a myself a friend, who is helping me lots with the boarding :)

    yeah, cheers, I did think that about the direction, but only after I had done it. if running across the joists, the board should end half way across a joist, for you to screw it to?
