no, i only have one clamp meter. id lean towards trusting the clamp meter as its logical for it to show 0a when the switch is off

yes definitely only one phase out of the meter. also reading 0a on the supply to the meter. in fact, every tail has 0a on it with the main switch off.

no, whats happening is im measuring 0a on the outgoing phase from the meter, but the meter is still registering a load and clocking the display up. this is with the main switch for the house turned off

its costing a lot, but i'm not particularly concerned about the internals of the CU, what do you think could be in there that is causing the meter to record usage with the clamp meter reading 0a on the outgoing phase? I have a photo of the ones in the loft though :lol:

I havent taken the cupboard down to look in the 4 way CU, but last time I looked, it was the same as when it was installed, the two 25mm tails go straight from the out side of the meter into the isolator in the CU there is no separate isolator, cant see why I would need one when there is one...

yeah, the air con has been in for years, it definitely only goes up about 1a when its running, maybe because its an inverter system
