How to fit bath taps without damaging the bath??!!

Just tighen them firmly and the bath with take it. Just don't go mad. It need to be enough that the taps will not be turned by people turning the actual tap on and off. A squeeze of sealant under the tap will help it grip to the bath as well.

Ferroli Optimax HE 31C Boiler Issues

I would say the single expansion vessel in the boiler isn't up to doing 10 radiators. Do as above and monitor the pressure the boiler runs at. DHW is most likely blocked plate heat exchanger or diverter valve problem.

    Leaking boiler

These boilers seem to leaking and the annoying thing is you can't get the tools in to undo things without disassembly other pieces that then start to leak. It's a pants design whoever thought of the layout should be taken out and shot. Anyway use some limescale remover on it. If you can get...

Ferroli Optimax HE 31C Boiler Issues

Open the central heating drain valve on the central heating and use a foot pump on the expansion vessel to bring the pressure up to about 1bar. Refill the central heating up to 1 bar. Use some washing up liquid on the tyre valve to see if it is leaking air. If leaking replace the tyre...

    Installing my own gas boiler

It's all a bit of a nonsense really. If you have connected pipes up to the boiler you have performed work on a gas appliance and therefore you need to be gas safe registered.

Should I replace my boiler - vokera 20/80 flowmatic

Put bigger double radiators in with convectors and the house will heat up nicely. Old double panels give little heat out and take ages to heat the rooms up. Job done. Leave the boiler alone just as already said these are build well and to last. Fans can go but these are relatively cheap.

    boiler sizeing

Whilst the boiler should be sized to meet the house requirements. This is not always possible. So say if you house needs 15 kW and the nearest boiler of choice is 18kW then 18kW it is. However the important item here is the value the boiler can modulate down to. Most modern boilers can...

    Boiler stop starting on hw

This is perfectly normal. The boiler cannot modulate down enough to heat the water to the final temperature so it has to shut off it will still be pumping hot water around the tank. When the temperature in the piping to the cylinder cools a little it will fire again to bring the piping back to...

Get a local guy in. Provided it is boarded to the boiler he will be quite happy. I would be.

Can you put a gas connection onto an electric/fuel boiler

No you need a small generator where you can plug the boiler and central heating into should the power fail. It will continue to use the oil for fuel. The generator will provide the power to run boiler and pump and provide the heating. Even a generator will be ok. It only need to be about 1.5kW...

    Large Oil Boiler - Condensing?

Easy 2 44kW Warmflows will do it and give redundancy should one fail for any reason as well as being more economical in warmer weather.

    Large Oil Boiler - Condensing?

How many radiators do you have? Multiply by 1.5 should give approx kilowatts you need. 2 x 44kW warmflows give 88kw that should be plenty. Or 3 if you wanted 132kW.
