Hi sorry just have not had a chance to reply, i went onto Ebay and found the same thermal trip switch/ cut out and bought that a quick replace job and all is now back up and running. Thanks for all the advice. Cliff

thanks for the reply in answer to your questions. No not under a heavy load yes was acting normally before that. yes it has a cut out switch. I have just removed the switch to see if I can order a replacement as I believe it's that but wondered if I can test some how any ideas.
