    I'm going to use the mosaic tiles that come on the flexible backing so i can keep the shape of the drainage done by the damp company. The damp co are going to use vandex bb75 with a sand a cement scratch coat, can i tile straight on to the render scratch coat?

    the main hot water pipe is 22mm, comes out of the tank and head straight down to the floors below. the supply for the offending tap t's off into 15mm pipe about 200mm below where the main pipe exits the tank. It then head very slightly uphill! before droping about 50cm and going...

    Hi I have a washbasin on the same floor as my hot water tank and the pressure on the hot water is almost non-existant. It starts off as almost none, splutters then trickles. All the other hot water taps are on lower floors and the pressure is fine. is this just a gravity think or air...

    Hi the tiles in my basement flat bathroom are falling of and taking a layer of plaster with them, the resulting surface is a flakey render. do i need to replaster the wall before retiling or will a few good coats of unibond surfice thanks

    yes, screw down the ply and use floor tile adheise and grout with a flexible aditive to allow for expansion and contraction in the floor, personally i wouldn't worry about insulation

    i've done loads of floor tiling and never bother with spacers... when wall tiling though the tiles can slip, damn gravity, is it the done thing to always use spacers when wall tiling?
