hi i fitted a limestone fireplace a couple of years ago i can't remember the exact name of the adhesive but it was some kind of flexi adhesive made by bal, not the cheapest for adhesives but very good, you also need to seal the stone otherwise if you spill anything on the stone it would be ruined.

the floor feels solid even the last bit that is chipboard, i'll take a picture of it tomorrow it's always difficult to try and explain and for people to see what you are getting at without seeing the job :D

unfortunately part of the floor is chipboard that green stuff that is meant to be water resistant, i did replace most of the floor with marine ply but the last 18" of floor i had to leave as the last floor joist was under the stud wall.

i contacted mira today and they said as it's a big shower tray (1500x760) that it would be best to use sand and cement at a 5 to 1 ratio as it's a large area to do with silicon. this is on to a wooden floor floor is this ok ? my other problem is the shower tray is being fitted into the corner...

i've used marine ply for the base but the last foot is the old floor that is the part that is slightly uneven the maufactures instuctions just says use a suitable floor screed or silicon.

i've got a mira resin stone shower tray that i need to fit it's a long one at 1500mm the floor is wood and is approx 3 or 4 mm out at one end, i was wonder what would be the best method for bedding it down the instructions say use silicon or a floor screed, can any one recomend somthing i could...

thanks, i thought under part p diyer's were allowed to add to an existing socket or lighting circuit...am i wrong ?

i'd like to add a shaver socket to my bathroom and was wondering if it is ok to take it from a lighting circuit, the light in question will also have a bathroom fan ran off it :D

ah well i don't want to risk any leaks as once it's all in i can't get to the pipe work again so i think i'll stick to solder, thanks all :D

just wondering on what people opinions are on use speed fittings either the copper or plastics ones is over traditional soldered fittings. i need to alter the pipe work as i'm fitting a mixer shower i've used soldered fittings before although i will be a little rusty at doing them as the last...

i suppose i could have a little acces hole in the garage roof and fit service valves then just in case, were would be the best place to buy full bore valves can't semm to find them anywhere online :D

i'm going to fit a mira exel mixer shower to work off my combi boiler, it's difficult getting access to the pipes, the only way if there is a problem would be through the garage ceiling, if i install service valves i could access them if i cut a hole through the garage ceiling i'm just wondering...
