Someone to fit a door and an entry intercom system in E3 Lon

Good morning We want to replace our broken voice intercom system and deadlocked front door with an intercom system that allows you to buzz people in from our flat upstairs. Because the current front door is glass, such a system would be very insecure as they could just break the glass to...

    Choosing a circular saw

Hi Guys I want to make a shelving unit from MDF but have nothing to cut it with. I am a pretty budget carpenter, but I have made similar shelves using pine from Jewsons in the past, so I am confident I can make the shelves. This time they need to be deeper and they are going to be a...

Fan installation problem - who provides the guarantee

Well I have two of them and one rattles and the other doesnt, and the burden of proof is on the retailer to prove that it was working when installed (which I suspect is nigh on impossible for them to do). If they cannot prove it is is assumed it was broken (which i believe to be the truth)

Fan installation problem - who provides the guarantee

Hi I wanted some advice. I had a firm install some extractor fans. One of them makes a funny clicking noise so I emailed the firm to ask them to come and fix it. They say that it is the manufacturer who provides the guarantee so it is them who have to come and fix it, not them. The catch...

Big (and ongoing) puzzle: Damp or leak?

I agree it would be good to get someone to come and have a look. The problem is getting someone who really knows what they are talking about. As I said, I have had builders who have suggested stuff that hasnt worked. Can you recommend a decent person to come and have a look? Thanks Tom
