    Solar Water Heating

There are loads of firms offering kit. www.sonnenkraft.com is awsome stuff but quite pricey. About 3k, imported from Germany, but the cylinder is ceramic linned which makes it super. Makes a megaflow look ordinary. I have used this stuff and it is top quality. If you want I can get full prices...

    Solar Water Heating

Simple really. Yes Solar heating works. I have it installed in my house and from april to september the boiler is off comletely. I've installed it in my mums house and British Gas came to check her meter last year as they didn't believe her 6month statment, £1.76p. I fitted a system for a...

    Lead water tank removal

I wouldn't. Unless a cylinder is designed for unvented use it's gotta be dangerous to do what your talking of. U have to have been on an unvented course, presumably to avoid people doing what you're proposing.

    Magnetic filters

Took apart a BB in merchants today. I don't think a customer could be expected to do it. It's a lot fiddlier than Magnaclean.

    Electronic Water Conditioners ???

I think the effect (if any) wears off again within 48 hours. So all those people who fit them to incoming mains feeding everything are wasting their time. The magnet ones may help a kettle.

    Commisioning boilers.

What are peoples views on commisioning other peoples installations. I've been asked to do it and they want it certified. Trouble is the work looks crap. I don't want CORGi (nazi) comming down on me. I don't think it's worth it at any cost. What do U guys think?

Might just be me but I'd avoid the ones in B&Q. customer supplied one for me on recent job and it wouldn't work no matter how near or far it was.

Or maybe the toilet was fed from the storage cistern and flushing it resulted in a loss of 9 ltrs. Because lots of house still have cistern fed toilets.

Roof Tank Overlfow Pipe is leaking/dripping
