    Air trapped in the radiators

Another update. I did what I said I was going to do and bled an upstairs radiator from both sides after isolating it. Re-pressurised it slowly letting out all the air. Worked great. Not a sound the whole evening. Then decided to bleed another one the same way - I bit trickier as radiator was...

    Air trapped in the radiators

This is what i've been doing all along, however at a point when its (almost) silent its also not very hot. Its in a bathroom which is used a lot, so I really need it to be at maximum heat there. No other rads have this issue, apart from one in the kitchen, that has the same design, so that's...

    Air trapped in the radiators

The combi boiler is vaillant ecotech plus 831, about 10 years old. Atm I do not have any problems with pressure, its 1.3 when cold, 1.8 when hot. And its been serviced regularly, although I did have quite a few problems overall with it (twice diverter valve, pressure sensor, aav all been...

    Air trapped in the radiators

An update - in the morning I managed to unscrew the bit opposite the bleeding valve and a bit of air did come out with a spray of water. After that the radiator sounded better, but this evening we are back to regular loud stream :( any ideas what to do? It literally sounds like its empty(i know...

    Air trapped in the radiators

I've been having a long standing problem with a couple of radiators in my house that I never got round to fixing. Basically when valves are opened fully it sounds like really loud running water. I've bled them obviously many times (with no air coming out of them) with no results. I reduced the...

    Separating heating loop

Would something like this be sufficient for 36kw boiler? https://www.manomano.co.uk/heat-exchanger-for-boiler/hrale-stainless-steel-heat-exchanger-30-plates-max-66-kw-plate-heat-exchanger-3214341?model_id=3214341

    Intergas flues

That's a shame, but yes I'm aware things could be done a a cost to resolve this, but I was hoping to avoid that...

    Intergas flues

Does anyone know if current Intergas flues (for X series) are suitable for outside? I would need it run for about 2 meters on top of flat roof...

    Separating heating loop

At first I'd thought to get a used CM927 with BDR91 now and then just get new evohome binded later when I switch to a new boiler, but I can see I can get a cheap evohome to start with anyway, so will try to do that before moving to a new boiler (that way I'm used to how its supposed to work)...

    Separating heating loop

I'm not planning to use system one - separate loop will be for CH only. DHW would be supplied from the boiler directly...

    Separating heating loop

I don't know - that's why I'm asking. May be using bdr91 with something other than evohome initially?

    Separating heating loop

I'm eyeing up intergas extreme (or may be cheaper intergas). Does it mean that I have to get the set up right from the start or can upgrade controls myself in the future? For example if I initially get some simple thermostat and later upgrade to evohome without rewiring - is that possible...

    Separating heating loop

Sounds promising, so how will heating controls connect to the secondary loop?

    Separating heating loop

Hi everyone. Just had a heating engineer over fixing my combi boiler and asked him a few question about replacing it with a new one and he suggested to split CH loop from the boiler and fit PHE and a pump to avoid contaminating the new boiler from the old pipes/radiators( and therefore any...
