    Your local DIY shop will have bleed keys on the shelf Usually air in the system will find its way to the upstairs rads As long as,when bled,it doesnt keep occuring If you find you have to bleed them regularly there is probably a fault in the system

    Potterton prima F 50F not firing

    Have found pcb fault to usually be poor solder joins where the main plug clips in I have before resoldered these and never had a call back Got a few used ones in my shed i have fixed and checked :) Always nice to turn up and get it going quickly

    the transmitter is battery powered and detects the temperature. this sends a signal to a receiver box which is hardwired into the boiler/programmer and tells the boiler to switch on/off

    Just a thought ...The bathroom rad is off the heating circuit and not the primaries? ie.the rads work when hot water is selected

    I have had a few problems ,over the last couple of years,with poor quality ball valves (supplied by different reputable companies) They are brass construction The fault i find is the white plunger ,that the brass arm operates against, sticks against the hole it slides in at a funny angle...

    Holy cow! just watched the video Sounds like air that after a while moves itself away from the boiler ,only to return when turned off Need to check for air bleeds

    There should be an air bleed in the loft ,possibly within the boiler casing(no experience of model) the bleed can be either manually operated or automatic. The automatic one possibly has been closed by mistake?

    Problem with one radiator

    Yes you should insulate any pipework if you can.The heat lost in pipework is less heat where its needed The old pipework could be blocked with sludge,but unlikely that bad to not run one radiator Obviously check BOTH valves are fully open and no air in rad :) 21C ! Thats tropical I run mine...

    Ideal Classic 366

    Any idea what btu output this boiler would be please?or is 366 a range of boilers? I need to add a few rads to the system but want to make sure it can cope with the extra. Sorry i have no other info on the boiler as yet Thanks

    Hello, I need to find out which way to install an inlet hose for a dishwasher with an anti-flood device fitted. Its a John Lewis JLDWW 1206 Usually the valve needs to point down(on other machines) but the JL instructions dont mention this. Currently in is fitted vertically up but im not sure...

    have i had a proper power flush ?

    It takes the best part of a day to do a powerflush PROPERLY It takes at least an hour to set up and remove the machine The machine is a large container with a handle and has at least 3 pipes connected to it .it has a pump in it and can create a fair amount of noise

    Make sure both valves are open, If they are its probably sludge
