Update..was defo bsttery.. I remembered checking fuses in engine bay..think I put one back in the wrong slot..hence battery light was flashing.. alternator charging fine as it jumps up to over 14v..new battery sorted it..thanks guys.

Hi guys - looking for some advice , got a fear edge fence..done it years ago..I used 7 inch raw timber and bolted them as gravel boards.. as you can see over the years have rotted away need replacing..what do you suggest..fence is about 50ft long..reason the rotted away is cos next door...

Ok..thanks seems like a simple test for a garage to do..to see if actuator is seized or doesn't do what its suppose to..is this part of the turbo or can it be bought separately, mine is a mk3 focus.

Turbo doesn't blow out smoke..in, fact it works very well , when foot down, just limp mode kicks on.

My turbo is at the top of the engine..under heatshied..see pic..easily accessible by a mechanic but not me..

I got one to pick up from eurocarparts..thought I'd clean this one first but no difference..will try new one over weekend..dreading if its the turbo..

Are you sure?.thought it was boost pressure sensor, lots like that on Ebay all say its boost pressure sensor. So where is the boost pressure sensor then?

Ok..just an update..I checked all pipes, all clear, I took off the hose that I put in..its all clear , just a slight hint of oil, checked air filter too all nice n clean. I located the boost pressure switch, took it off, was a bit oily and cleaned it out, put it back and took car for...

Just an update ..got code p2599..it wasn't the engine management light , but the error " engine malfunction - service now" on the display panel. Still goes into limp mode ..Could be turbo he said but not sure..really need someone who knows there stuff.. he said might be a sensor just before...

The car was services recently, air , oil, fuel filter, fresh oil.. has 39k on clock..will ask mechanic to check pipes tommorrow..I was concerned as to why the 3 small breather pipes under the turbo had com away..anyway will see tommorrow...car also went into limp mode on way back yesterday..
