Hi guys..my kids got a ford focus 1.6tdci 2012 plate..recently engine management light came on..took it to garage and mechanic saw that the air filter hose , the one connected to the turbo, was split and patched up hy previous owner with duct tape..anyway he also said just below the turbo 3 breather pipes had come off and had swelled up and cudnt be pushed back on because they had gone too soft. He replaced the 3 breather pipes , very small ones..and patched up the air filter hose with tape, butvssid it needed replacing .for a week or so the car drove fine. Today I recieved the part AV61-9C623-CB, and replaced it myself simple a couple of jubilee clips either side..I noticed that as i took the old hose off , the patched up one, there was a lot of oil in it..put the new one on..all seemed fine..kid phones me from motorway that the engine management light has come on..and car driving in limp mode...told him to drive slowly to destination..any idea what could be the problem? Ta...see pic of oil in old hose.
