    yep could be a faulty TRV sensor head or as mentioned above the pressure pin could be stuck. Sometimes you can unscrew the heads off TRVs or sometimes there may be a small screw that needs to be undone first.

    Hi there Is there any way of testing a soldered joint/(s) for leaks when practising soldering? I don't have a pressure tester (Hilmor/Rothernberger ones are well over £100)!! :( - any other ways to test under pressure? Thanks for any tips... :)

    I hope this does not sound a little stupid-but I need to ask a simple question as it is bugging me: Radiators come with brackets (usually all do) - but what are lugs and what are they for. Do all radiators come with lugs or just certain ones?

    tried to do it but my cylinder thermostat dial is very stiff and when i put a screwdriver in it to turn it it split a bit of the plastic dial and would not budge! so i do not want to damage it any further and brak that too! what else can i do...

    yes there is power white and grey (just tested again with HTG on). But no HTG still.

    i read that grey and white (and also orange now you mentioned it) were all for HTG only. (unless than means HTG only after H/W and HTG and H/W is satisified)? Yes there are 230 (V) to orange too. So is my motor broken? need changing?
