I've had a new kitchen extension plastered. The guy was amazing and its the best finish I've ever ever seen. But I've been advised it may be too smooth for the paint to stick to. Any advice?

If you buy trade double galzing its cheap and cheerful. What about gloss paint and emulsion. I can get Johnstones trade gloss and emulsion at a discount. Is it better than normal buy off the shelf paint or not as good? Never sure when they say trade whether is better or not.

I'm looking at new double sockets and they say 2 gang and double pole. Whats is meant by double pole and 2 gang? I thought 2 gang was a double socket and by definiition double pole was the same.

Ask the people you get the windows from that you want windows compliant to current building regs. ie anything below a metre i think and doors need to be toughened glass. Openers for fire escape etc are required amd pilkington k glass or similar thermally efficient glass.
