What do you mean "these are sods?" Do you mean the Envoy? I have a few BG friends who i did my training with they also said these are a nightmare.

I am corgi registered so fitting is no problem, would this fault be intermitent if the igniter was dead? Is there a possibilty the igniter could be on its last legs or is this unlikely

checked working pressure @ boiler and meter and its 2.5 at meter and 2.0 at appliance. therefore i guess i should ring transco! Any one agree with this... it could be the one!!

I tried a new PCB and it hasnt made any difference, can anyone explain why the burner pressure isnt changing when i adjust the 2 nuts to the front of the gas valve?

The black D shaper plastic does have 401 printed on it. voltage of mod coil is 15v Max Im not sure how to check the resistance of the mod coils im afraid. I have just tried a brand new PCB which has made no difference at all so guess thats out the equation. What have you got in mind?

best bet is to cut out a section of the pipe and get the correct fittings while you are in the store. will save you messing on with incorrect fittings. I still see plenty of waste pipe bigger than 40mm attached to macerators so it could still be a metric size rather than old imperial.

I may be miss interpreting this but dont these bleed valves have a larger nut holding them into the rad? If u get some grips on it you can bleed from there and also get a replacement.

No the water isnt going down the flow pipe thats for definate! All the boilers i have worked on so far have actually been Vaillants... to be honest i to have not seen that type of diverter in anyother Combi but as my experience is limited i wasnt sure if they were more out there. Cheers
