Hi I hate the throwaway society but I find with these taps its best to replace them. The exception for me is if its an expensive tap where specific parts can be obtained from the manufacturers. Even so a replacement can work out cheaper

Hi Doesn't your picture show the hot water pipe labelled on the left? As long as the pipes only feed the shower you could swap them over. If its possible you could always temporarily turn the shower upside down first and check you are happy with the performance.

If the showers are externally piped you could swap the one that is not working with one that is. This should help you eliminate whether or not it is the shower at fault or the plumbing. If you're lucky you might find they both start working. Of course if you're unlucky....
