As a general rule does anyone know how long the maximum extension on a plume management kit can be from the original horizontal terminal of a combi boiler.

Also I have been told that on a Viessmann plume management kit the outlet must be on the same wall and point in the same direction as the original terminal. Is this standard for all such kits?
Thanks

There is a limit to the total length of flue.

I think you are misinterpreting the Viess requirements.

I usually take them up and then discharge in +/- 45 degrees to either side as appropriate.

Thanks for that Tony. I'll get on to Viessmann and check their maximum extension length. I only want to go up about 3 meters.
I'm told the same direction bit is to make sure there is no pressure difference for the flue inlet an outlet which makes sense. I assume 45* either way wouldn't alter things much.
