    What timber to use for new garage doors?

    Also what design is easiest? The existing doors had tongue and groove in the middle wrapped in a frame, not nailed onto the frame but within it so flush on the external side, I liked that design but think it might be a bit tricky to make as I have limited woodworking skills.

    They are aluminium couplers and corner posts and sit onto a reinforced cill, I think most if not all PVC window manufacturers offer various sizes of coupler, some are heavy duty.

    It's a lightweight tile effect insulated roof, I just call it a solid roof as opposed to glass or polycarb panels, they can be fitted onto windows and doors.

    Just seal it as it is and monitor it, probably just the recent high winds driving the rain under the frame didn't help but at least it highlighted the problem so now you can address it.

    Ah okay the second pic is easier to make out, I usually put a bead of silicone about 10mm in from the cill lip before sitting the frame on, then also seal the back edge.

    Looks like it’s sat flush with the back of the cill in the pic, you can see the bottom edge of the frame which should be sat lower.

    Looks like the window isn’t located correctly on the cill, it should be butted up against the lip on the back of the cill not sat on it.

    I think you need to double check this as I'm pretty sure it's up to 3 m2 for a porch, your 3 x 3 is 9 m2 so would be well over
