In the boiler manual for this, I see in the spare parts section that their are no service kits - unless there are universal service kits that do the job?

Thanks for your help Are microbore rad valves TRvs or just manual valves? If so can you buy standard replacements? When you say to put standard rad valves and extend pipework do you mean fit new rad valves with 15mm pipe and reduce to 10 for eg somewhere under floor?

if you had the installation / service manual why did you not just go through it properley and then find fault/replace part as MANUFACTURER says! All this is it this is it that!...... :shock:

i've never changed one - is it fiddly changing the whole valve? or just 5 compression fittings or other?

is the aav cap loosened? or is there a filter/cartridge on the inlet a bit clogged/split etc? where does it sound like it's coming from - what area of the boiler/system?

Thanks again for your herlp - the RCD is a safety device obviously but what else does it provide moreso than say a normal earth wire or a normal fuse/cb tripping under a fault condition? Is it a lot quicker?

one last question please if I may: what exactly is a short circuit - is it where the live and neutral conductors touch due to a fault - and blow the fuse?

Landing hall light has 2 switches that operate it (rocket switches) - 1 in hall and other on landing - is the wiring for this the same as normal 3 plate wiring, with just an additional switch wire (L and SL) to the other light switch?

3 plate wiring - is that the part connected to the ceiling that hasd L(loop) N and SL and E?

wouldn't central heating and immersion and even shower come under plumber too? immersion heater element split would blow fuse and CU and or in FCU near heater - and of course no hot water !! why do RCD trips - I mean what causes the imbalance of current between L and N?
