assummed load 3 bed semi lighting up/down 3 rings kitchen, upstairs, downstairs no electric shower or cooker at present would CU with 80a isolator and 63a rcd do? thanks

Most consumer units have 100a isolator 83a rcd Alot of places selling consumer units with 80a isolator and 63a rcd is this normal Can you still fit one of these CU'S when there is a 100a service fuse to property? thanks

help i am a little unclear 1 ) if a competent registered person was to replace a consumer unit .. would he test every single circuit or just a peercentage and issue installation certificate. 2) if just a new socket was added in a kitchen ... would he test just this one circuit and issue...

so if you have to bond at these points as stated What is the point of bonding at boiler also???

there is only a electric shower in bathroom which has a seperate earth cable of its own run from consumer unit.. so cross bonding at the boiler i assume would be ok and no need to bond rads in bathroom????

If my combination boiler has got cross bonding ie mains water, gas, hot water, flow and return all cross bonded surely there is no need for supplementary bonding of bathroom radiators .. when it has already been done at the boiler am i right in assuming this? thanks

I know supplementary bonding cable in bathroom does not need to go back to consumer unit but in some adverse way would it do any harm if this cable did run back to consumer unit ALso is there a need for seperate earth wire on shower apart from twin +earths earth to run back to consumer unit...

hiya Has anyone get any pointers to fix this prob got no heat at all.. in both modes ch and hw.... boiler will start ignition sequence (sparkin good) but then lockout. any tips for fault finding greatly appreciated

i was thinking along those lines ...........but temp stat is set to max and boiler only runs for about 20-30 secs before pressures drop! Do you know what voltage i should expect on test? thanks

hi i am about to take my acs but whilst checking out my own boiler baxi bahama 100 and setting burner pressures i adjusted min & max ok but my max (13.5mbar) drops down to about 8mbar after 20 seconds (hot taps full on) what is happening here ...is this normal??
