Could I keep the existing wood joists and use them as the guide for the floor level? Just thinking instead of removing them, leave them insitu and work around them.

Loft conversion - low pitch roof

Hi guys So I have made an PD application for a loft conversion to my local council recently. Talking to my architect, the one issue I’m going to be faced with is the height. So I’ve agreed to drop the ceilings on the 1st floor down 200mm but with even doing that, I’m still looking at only...

Honeywell IS312 with Veritas EXCEL panel

so I've disabled the look down and the pir's are working better but I'm not 100% convinced! I could be moving around the rooms randomly and after a while with the led come and sense me. Are all pet immune PIR's like this or is it that I've just brought the wrong type/brand?

Honeywell IS312 with Veritas EXCEL panel

I phoned Honeywell support and another post on this site also confirmed that you cannot have both the look down and the pet immune feature enabled at the same time! something to do with the area the PIR monitors and when in pet immune mode the floor area nearer to the ground is sort of ignored...

Honeywell IS312 with Veritas EXCEL panel

Just installed a veritas excel system with Honeywell IS312 pet immune PIR’s as we have a cat. So I was doing a walk test and a couple of the pir’s would hardly detect anything...

So I have now powerflushed the system but I still have the problem but it doesn't happen so frequently. Bosch Highflow 400 - non condensing type

I have had this boiler now for around 12 years and it been fine but recently it has started to play up. While the central heating is on and a demand for hot water is called for, once the tap has been closed the red light above the CH temperature dial starts flashing and the heating fails to...

    CH noises

If it is a sticking pump, does that mean a potential pump replacement? But why do I always get the noise in the same room? I should get noise from the boiler if it is a sticking pump right?

upgrading control panel, bell box wiring

Hi guys I'm helping out my uncle replacing an ageing ADE Optima with a Scantronic 9651 panel. Now I'm not sure what brand the bell box is but I have noted the following 5 wires connected on the ADE panel; Strobe - T A Bell + Bell - so how do I transfer these onto the Scantronic?
