Hi all, attempting my first decking build, posted a topic a while back but didnt get anywhere with it, had a few more ideas & changed the plan a bit, hoping someone can give me some advice. This is how the garden stood as of a few days ago... and how it stands tonight... Once i...

Decking tiles over part paved, part raised "wilderness&

Would a better option be to flatten the raised section, put hardcore and sand down, then flag it, then use spare flags as posts to support the frame for the decking tiles? If thats a better option, how far apart should the flags/posts be, and should i be using noggins aswell as the beams for...

Decking tiles over part paved, part raised "wilderness&

Hi everyone, i think part of my quest may have been covered before, but i figured i best ask everything in one thread incase different things have a bearing on each other. Right, down to it. We have a smallish garden, paved around one edge, with a lawn in the centre, a 8x6 shed in one corner...

No, thats why i came on here, to get advice. Thanks for explaining why a powerflush wouldnt help in this situation. I will get up in the loft and have a listen and watch the pipe and report back. I do appreciate the advice, just dont appreciate the swearing and insults when im just...

Baxi back boiler kettling and banging - best action?

Sorry but i have answered most questions and dont appreciate your internet tone. The noise is mainly when the boiler cuts out, but it builds up to it, getting gradually worse. Ive not been in the loft yet as ive been working away from home and didnt get back til late last night...

Baxi back boiler kettling and banging - best action?

How will i know the difference? If its pumping over it will be all the time the boiler is running? Boiling over would be just when its making noises? The boiler stat, if that failed adjusting the control wouldnt make any difference? But i have ours set to two as any higher and it gets even...

Baxi back boiler kettling and banging - best action?

Ah, thats something i had forgot to mention, the pipe that goes into the tank in the loft appears to have water coming out of it, but ive not witnessed it? The pipe comes straight up, then 90 degree then 90 again so its pointing into the tank, looks like it runs straight up from boiler like...

Baxi back boiler kettling and banging - best action?

We have it set via room stat so when it comes on its on and off meeting room temp. It makes noises pretty much all the time its on, but definatley more when it is clicking off and cooling.

Baxi back boiler kettling and banging - best action?

Sorry for leaving out that info. It was done by a plumber who has now moved out of the area, he also serviced the boiler and fitted a new gas valve. He used sentinel products though i cant remember which ones but he left the bottles in the loft with a date of when they were used. It was...

Leaking Loft Window - no markings?

Hi, we moved into a house last year with a converted loft with a window in. Its now become apparent that the window is leaking and on further inspection this could be because the centre pivot hinge has snapped. My problem is that im trying to work out who made the window and if there are...

    New stat, banging & bubbling?

Also, does the level seem ok? im not sure, but it looks like the ballcock arm has been bent so the tank doesnt fill as much? It could be right like that, it just seems odd how the overflow is so much higher than the level. Also note the vent pipe, can see that water regulaly passes...
