    all 47 in lengths.. its around a foot too long, i may get someone it to do it, its newly plastered or i would have just place the brackets in the old places and taken it from there, anyway thanks for you help il work it out eventually am sure (y):p

    my new handrail is too long, it comes in 3 pieces with 4 brackets and all the measurements to fit the brackets on the wall are around this length could i just cut a few inches off each and adjust the measurements all will it all go wrong ... help before i cut please :(

    pva walls ?... 2 coats of watered down paint? or ... dulux trade white? (says ideal for new plaster) looking for easiest with the best finish..

    i heard emulsion & water 50/50 and then another coat of white emulsion and then colour of choice... is it any emulsion or does it have to be a certain type

    haha thats what we do now but its a cheap eco bulb at the mo, am getting really fancy light fitting with lots halogen bulbs more for show ... so .... us women do like to make things complicated :D

    spotlghts up stairs ? like in pic. is it a big job, the electrician who has done work for me before eg light fittings in ceilings is in his 70s. semi retired ..(hard to get hold of also) dont want to put a big job on him and don't really want to pay for an expensive big job.. any help would be...
