Does anyone know if external rendering sand the same as plastering sand with regards to rendering a wall internally, will it still be washed as it does not say on the bags at wickes and i have the to small wall of my inglenook fire place to do. Thanks

Just a quick one does anyone know if you can dot and dab p.board with anything else like multi finish or bonding. Just i've got 2 strips to do 300 wide x 2400 long and dont want to buy another bad of adhesive if i can use some of the multi or bonding i've got left. Cheers

Does anyone know a store that sells washed plastering sand for rendering in the small bags. i've tried Wickes but they only do dumpy bags even though the website shows small bags, B&Q dont do any apparently. I know the Build centre do but they are shut on a Sunday Thanks

Thanks Richard C Just read the link you provided i think i'll give it a go at the weekend did you put waterproofer in as one person suggested. I'll use use the 5:1:1 mix for the full chimney inside and out. And finish coat with Silver sand and lime putty 1sand : 1.5putty as was suggested...
