    I wanted to rake out the mortar ready for a pro to come and repoint. I thought the quickest way would be to buy an Angle grinder (seen a four and half inch one in screwfix for £15.99) and buy a mortar rake. The question i had was will the rake just fit onto it or is there a special adapter...

    Just a quicky :D My structual engineer has only specified on the BR drawings for the new extension floor joists as 200 x 50 @400mm intervals. The floor is only 3.1m in span, is it ok to use C16's as apposed to C24's? Thanks

    Concrete floor construction

    We have just had this done and the DPM is in between the sand and insulation, on top of that, our building inspector asked for another DPM to be placed over the insulation before the concrete was poured as there have been cases of a reaction taking place when the concrete meets the insulation.

    Between the Sand and Insulation boad you will need a Damp Proof Membrane (DPM).
