SKY Multiroom / Magic Eye Query

Just a quick note to say thanks to Martin at Satcure (http://www.satcure.co.uk) for his extremely prompt and helpful advice on this matter. His T140 solution (http://www.satcure.com/accs/page15.htm) looks like it will do the trick. Just hope Sky keeps the family happy - can see us arguing...

SKY Multiroom / Magic Eye Query

So, to make sure I've got this right. Looking at this picture: I ask my Sky man to connect the LNB from the dish to the loft box and the loft box to the Sky box in one room. The signal from the Sky box returns (UHF signal on diagram) to the loft box from where it is distributed to the...

SKY Multiroom / Magic Eye Query

Sorry to hijack this thread, but my question is sort of related and it seemed better than opening a new topic. Looking at getting Sky. Not worried about multiroom, but would be nice to have Sky in other rooms in house. All TVs in house (4/5) are connected to aerials in loft via standard (some...

    Suprima 70 - kettling?

Thanks Peter Think I've found the bypass loop - for some reason the (manual) valve was closed. I've opened it and hope it does the trick. So far, so good. Let's see if I get a good night's sleep :)

    Suprima 70 - kettling?

Appreciate what you have said Peter and will look into this, but it only seems to be happening with the frost stat not the heating and water. I'll call my engineer out tomorrow. If someone has the patience can you explain for my benefit how the frost stat works? I know what it does but where...

    Suprima 70 - kettling?

Agile - I dare not ask but what's the finger test. I think he turned the pump up. It's on 3 already I know the engineer took the front screw out - Grundfos pump Replacing the PCB looks straighforward enough on this model Lanmcd - yes the pump comes on when the frost stat operates. Not sure...

    Suprima 70 - kettling?

Bit of a long one this, but trying to cover everything:- Suprima 70 (12-15 yrs old) in open system. Boiler fitted in garage. Have had to reset boiler quite a few times recently and everything points to the PCB. Have just bought replacement, but before I fit it (and can't take it back for...

    Shower pump or thermostat problem

Have New Team (Bristan) Jetforce pump fitted to hot and cold feed to Grohe shower. Been fitted and working fine for years. Pump has recently got a lot noisier and we only get warm water from the shower (not hot as if it comes direct from hot water cylinder). It's not so hot that we cannot...

Thanks. Have bought the wet table saw and it's done the job after a bit of practice.

Need to cut thin strip of tile

I have recently had to retile a shower cubicle in an already fully tiled en-suite. Due to a dado tile that is in the existing scheme no longer being available, the almost finished project has left a small (12mm to 15mm) gap at the top of the walls around the cubicle. What is best solution...

    Pop-up waste on plastic sink

It's a bathroom sink. I believe from Ikea (about 12 years ago). It has a holes for a monobloc tap, standard waste and overflow. If I can fit a p-u to it, will it fit a standard waste pipe or do I need a special connection over and above what the tap and p-u come with?

    Pop-up waste on plastic sink

I would like to fit a monobloc tap with pop-up waste to the sink, but am advised that this will not be possible, 'because it is a plastic sink'.

    Pop-up waste on plastic sink

I have had to replace the monobloc tap on my plastic sink. The sink has a standard plug and overflow. My plumbers merchant says I cannot fit a pop-up waste to this. Is this right or can I get a tap with pop-up that will work given the right fittings?
