Am redoing my ensuite and am thinking of putting an Aqualisa HiQu Digital shower (concealed) in.
Anyone used them - or any of the other Aqualisa digital showers - and have any comments?
I presume the connections to the digital box are OK for copper? I think they are pushfits - damn them...
Is it ok to plaster directly onto plasterboard - does it need sealing at all?
Or do you have to put some expanding mesh or something over it first?
In my ensuite I am putting a wall hung toilet in and understand that I should use either 2 layers of plasterboard or can use 18mm ply.
For a boxed in (3 wall + shower door) type shower, would something like a tiling backer board, eg wedi board, be better/easier/cheaper than plasterboard and WP1 tanking?
As you can get wedi board in 12.5mm, if I can use this and not tank then might work out better or cheaper for the same...
....also, as only the shower area is the section getting wet, do I need to seal all the plasterboard or just tank the shower area?
I am not sure if the sealing is to stop water penetration or to stop the adhesive going off too quick or seaping into PB quickly.
Thanks
Thanks for the suggestions.
I have made a new album, innovatively called "Ensuite Updated" with these changes (apart from one!) and added comments etc by the images also.

Regarding suggestion for door wall - to centre tiles on the main wall to...
Centre of tile centred on overall wall length.

- leads to thin slither of tile on RH edge on window area and sill - though sill could be taken out by moving tiles very slightly to left a bit (or could go after reboarding and rebuilding boxed in section.

Area of tall wall above sink...
Edges of tile centred on overall wall length - as suggested.

Area of tall wall above sink will probably be all mirror - maybe not to ceiling though.
Edge of tiles centred in the window area.

- seems to create an issue though around the window as very thin slither of tile just before edges - after re-boarding area and rebuilding boxed in seciton, this might change (more/less)!

Area of tall wall above sink will probably be...
Tile layout centred around the shower cubicle as thought would look best if shower rail was central between the back wall and the shower door (marked on image).
Nice tiling gcol. Shame you don't live closer to me eh!
If I read that link right, then I think its a 10mm square notched for the walls and a 10mm U shaped for the floor. Right?
Sorry to be a pain again, but... I seal the PB with APD, I tank the shower PB with WP1 - correct?
For the floor (ply) I can leave and put adhesive on directly, for ply on walls, do I need to seal face (I remember about edges) or again can I just put adhesive on directly (won't be in a wet...
