Hi had some damp-coursing done and still a couple of areas of damp patches keep showing through at ground floor and condensation caused mould upstairs.

Thought of installing a condensate pump to pump condensate to foul drain, not sure its worth the risk in keeping the flue in the same position even if a gas safe engineer would fit it.

So the existing boiler is ok in its current position but if I upgrade I will have to relocate or change the boiler flue position ?

The footpath is a public pavement on a side road.

Anyone ever had a combi boiler condensate pump fitted ? Are they reliable ? Are they noisy to run ? Any views on the cost of fitting one and what make to fit ? Does any pump fit any boiler ? Thanks in advance .

I have had problems with mould caused by condensation on ceilings etc. Hopefully the condensation problem has been sorted, are there any views on using stain blocker to stop stains coming back before painting with emulsion ? Any help is gratefully accepted

The boiler is at present in a pantry area within the rear of the living room. The nearest drain is approx 5m away. (With only 1m fall from the boiler to the floor)

The surveyor recommend I install further strengthening of roof timbers due to the increased weight from concrete tiles. I assume he means roof joists ? Can any one tell me if this can be carried out with the roof in place ?

The chimney looks like its got a lean to me and the surveyor on the house search recommended rebuilding the chimney up to the upper course approximately 10 high. Does this mean all the chimney stack requires rebuilding or would pointing suffice do on my half?

Thanks for the reply, Yes it is a shared chimney but the neighbour has already had there half done before I bought the property. Approx 10 brick high, reasonably accessible but I would imagine scaffold would be needed.

Would that be full cost or do I need to add extra for scaffolding ?

The chimney is not in use at the moment and blocked off in the living area, damp doesn't appear to be a major problem in the living area at present.
