Condensate pumps

Anyone ever had a combi boiler condensate pump fitted ?
Are they reliable ?
Are they noisy to run ?
Any views on the cost of fitting one and what make to fit ?
Does any pump fit any boiler ?

Unusual question!

External ones usually work with any boiler but not all have a limit switch.

They vary in the noise generated but perhaps mostly about as much as a sewing machine. Makers don't quote the noise level.

Better to ask your gas safe installer!
