Tried everything but luke warm radiators

The temp on the boiler has always been set to max. Just to add something this all started a couple of years ago when one radiator just completely stopped heating despite no messing with balancing, having the valves fully open, bleeding it and taking it off and forcing water through. Prior to...

Tried everything but luke warm radiators

So I hear the boiler on and it does continuously make the noise of firing up like a bump noise maybe every 5 minutes until it hits temperature in the room which takes way longer than I would expect it to.

Tried everything but luke warm radiators

When you say the flow is that the pipe at the lockshield valve side? Also when you say diverter and lazy pump wouldn't those be parts of the boiler checked on a service?

Tried everything but luke warm radiators

I really at at my wit's end with the heating in my house. So, no matter what I do I cannot get all my radiators to be hot. Luke warm is the best I can get. This has been an issue for a couple of years and we have persevered. What happens is one radiator can be hot but even by turning this...

    Replacing split hose connector

It does have an isolation, its turned off at the moment. Think the y valve is because of the dishwasher.

    Replacing split hose connector

So today for reasons unknown the connector in my outside tap hose decided to split causing a minor flood. Luckily it has an isolation valve and is now turned off. No idea why it split since it hasn't been touched in years. My question is, can the connector be taken off and replaced? I...

    Worrying blown bulb

I've had a bulb blow on me today which isn't unusual. However, it is the manner in which it has happened that seems worrying. The fixture is a ceiling light that has five bulbs in it. They are all 6W LED bulbs. One of them today suddenly popped, tripped the fuse and a small cloud of smoke...

Cold radiator even with valves fully open

Ok so if I turn all rads in the house off except the cold one or is fine. As soon as I turn the others back on it starts to cool down. I guess it's a balancing issue then? The cool.one though is the largest in the house and has the valves fully open so I would have thought it would be hotter...

Cold radiator even with valves fully open

I had a problem with a radiator that was only heating a small amount at the top. Today I took it off and flushed it out as best i could with a hose. I have now put the radiator back on, opened the bleed valve to let all the air out (to the point water starts to come out) then closed this, I...

    Metal plasterboard rawlplug question

Yeah I haven' tried them yet but the screw won't go in with fingers that's for sure. Does seen very tight, will hopefully be easier once the plug is actually in the wall.
