Okay... Unless I'm completely misinformed then the taps and showers are all running from the tank and not the combi. The expansion pipe is not immersed in the storage tank, just checked this. Definitely checked the correct filters. I know what you mean about making sure it's the correct ones...

Okay so I've cleaned the filters on the first shower and there was the tiniest bit of silvery residue in there. Unfortunately it hasn't made any difference

I can feel the hot and cold supply to the shower from inside a cupboard behind the en-suite and the hot pipe is very hot. I'll look into the filter but still think it's odd that both showers have gone like this at once

Thanks Jeff. It's possible but odd that they've both started getting the same problem at once, I have taken the dials off and made sure they are set up to reach the maximum temperate but they still both run lukewarm at best

awesome thanks for the help thats what i'll do. Theres a few turns in the landing and also on the stairs so essentially I've got to calculate about 5 'runs' is the plan to calculate all of these before starting and adjust them all so they are as close to the same as possible?

Hi I've got to fit new spindles to existing handrails and then along a landing. I know how to go about working out the spacing on the stairs but my confusion is how do I continue this spacing along the landing without leaving an odd gap at the very last newel post? Am I supposed to figure it...

Well I got the plastic covers off the adjustment screws and they had a nice neat notch for a small flathead. Tiny bit more anticlockwise on them both and it starts, idles and revs perfectly. Cheers guys!

(y)(y)Hah thanks John yeah I took the carb apart up until a the gaskets/diaphragms that wouldn't budge so I just sprayed and cleaned every other parts of it as best I could. If I can find a kit for it I might buy one, it's a Walbro but I'm not sure what model etc. Thanks for the advice again

Making some progress! Ive figured out that 1 1/4 turns works best like you expected and that the idle must have just been to low. If I have it running and slowly loosen the idle screw it stays nice up until I get to a point and then it hunts badly. Perhaps I just need to keep the idle speed up...

Okay so with lots of throttle the engine runs smoothly and by trying to give it some choke like you suggested it does seem to still run without hunting yeah. Any thoughts on what to do try now?

Sorry to sound really stupid but how do I do this? There is no actual throttle adjustment so do you mean to push the throttle open on the carb? Also how do I give it a little choke? Just back off the throttle?
