Hi I've got two showers that have both started only getting luke warm. The system is a combi and a hot water tank with header tanks in the loft. All taps seem to run really hot, the flow and return pipes in/out of the tank are both hot when the boiler is on.

The pipe that comes out of the top of the tank gets really hot all the way to the pipes that supply both showers but the showers still only flow Luke warm.

If I've explained things well enough so far.... my thoughts are that it's a blockage of some sort which has affected the flow of hot water? Any help would be great

*the only thing that might have caused this is that the filing loop was found to be left 3/4 open. What might this have done?

They are both Triton ASX2000 low pressure power showers

Thanks Jeff. It's possible but odd that they've both started getting the same problem at once, I have taken the dials off and made sure they are set up to reach the maximum temperate but they still both run lukewarm at best

At the back of the instruction book it shows where the filters are located. Muck in the filters is a possible.
Alternatively if you can feel the pipes leading to the showers, a shower letting by can mean that cold passes in to the hot therefore shower is only fed with tepid water at the hot inlet.
If the pipes are all concealed, run the shower till it is as good as it gets, turn off & electrically isolate. remove front & is incoming good & hot or just warm?

I can feel the hot and cold supply to the shower from inside a cupboard behind the en-suite and the hot pipe is very hot. I'll look into the filter but still think it's odd that both showers have gone like this at once

Thanks for the help I'll follow the guide on cleaning them and report back, hopefully that's it

Okay so I've cleaned the filters on the first shower and there was the tiniest bit of silvery residue in there. Unfortunately it hasn't made any difference

If you have a combi and a hot water tank, are your taps running from the combi and showers running from the water tank? Is the tank definitely heating up?

Make sure the expansion pipe is not immersed in the storage tank, cold water can be pulled into the hot cooling it drastically.

You did clean the correct filters?
There are 2 pairs of filters for different inlet configurations. Only 1 pair is in use

The 2 showers going tech at the same time is unusual, the first check would be the hot&cold temperature and available dual flow.these are all easily measured on site by an approved shower expert.

Then a remedy is possible (y)

seen it before and even before
