    Router, bench and saw advice

thanks for the link, looks a very reasonable deal. I can't see to find any information on them though...? I guess I worry about getting caught out not being able to get extra track, blades and spares

    Router, bench and saw advice

took a drive to my local store tonight. None in there so I'm going to have to go another route. Problem is the Mac All-star one that's recommended in the '10 minute workshop' video is no longer in production

    Router, bench and saw advice

WOW, I could and almost did get lost in the channel!!! So I have a couple of workmates and a sliding roller support. So I was thinking about a table, more for the speed of repeated cuts as it's the marking and setting the fence on every cut that takes the time, especially when using the router...

    Router, bench and saw advice

I'm leaning towards one of these TBH. I do use a circular saw, they care the **** out of me! A track saw sounds a better idea! Now I need to figure out if I go wired or cordless

    Router, bench and saw advice

@blup Sounds like I'm on a similar path to you, so appreciate your thoughts. I bought a cheap Bosch drill/driver a few years back as my beloved Hitachi died, it was only a stop-gap but now I've bought a Bosch hedge trimmer as it was cheap and compatible with the batteries and charger. If I'm...

    Router, bench and saw advice

I've got a couple of small projects ahead of me and i'm wanting to invest in some equipment. Historically i've borrowed my bother's router but its not great, and it's a pain not having it here when needed. My first project is another built-in bookshelf (see below). As you can see from the...

    Process advice

I'm building a garden gym and for reasons outlined in other threads, I need to sink the base around 150-200mm. I've planned how and where i'm going to do this, and have also spoken to my architect (currently working with on a housing extension) and he has advised me along the way. But now it...

Best base to use for garden gym

This sounds like good advice and makes total sense, i'm embarking on the same and was weighing up floor insulation. Reading this I think i'll lay a concrete slab and interlocking PCV tiles over the top. This should make for a suitable gym floor and save a wedge of the costs...

    Blanking cap (dishwasher)

An elderly relative has asked me to remove and unwanted dishwasher, and whilst I can use the isolation valve to cap it off, I would, if possible like to use another screwed in blanking cap to be safe as I won't be around to keep an eye on things incase there is an issue. Is this the sort of...

    PCB Part number Baxi

I assume when looking for a replacement, i'm making sure the 'PCB Spec No', in my case 5107215-KG is the same as the original part? The 'Baxi Pt No' is different but again, assume that's down to revisions and isn't relevant when sourcing a replacement...

    Video: Promax SL issue

So over the weekend I removed the ignition, cleaned the prongs and adjusted the gap as per specifications as it was too wide. I also removed the PCB, inspected the connections and reassembled. It's been working off/on since (didn't work after the ignition work, so I don't believe it's that). I...

    Video: Promax SL issue

It had a new ignition/probe about 12 months ago. That being said, sub standard parts can break down pretty quickly. Assume it's ok to remove and wet 'n' dry with a fine grade to make sure there is no carbon build up on the end? The old ignition that was replaced was like some old shrivelled...

    Video: Promax SL issue

the plumber did do that for a little while and it didn't seem to make a difference. In my mind I felt water could lead to a short circuit but wouldn't that be binary? It comes on from time-to-time

    Video: Promax SL issue

i'm tempted to check and clean all the connections in the PCB. There was moisture in the case due to a leak... clutching at straws I know

    Video: Promax SL issue

I believe by disconnecting the white lead from the ignition to the condense trap, this would rule that out as the fault? (as per the Baxi video below). I could be wrong, happy to clean and check something else...

    Video: Promax SL issue

ooof, that looks a pig to change according to the Baxi help videos this usually presents with a certain light error and mine doesn't show that. Leads me to think it's something else...?

    Video: Promax SL issue

hmmm, It sounds like it could be a rectification issue, going by this video from Baxi. The cable has been disconnected as per the video instructions and it still exhibits the issue... Is there anything else I can check to get to the route cause?
