    Painting over creosote?

Any tried this? I have mistakenly stained a gate in creosote before applying the teak and now I'm struggling to finish it. The dark drown colour is what I'm trying to achieve but after 4 coats of creosote theres still a lot of tranparent patches. Should I try and paint over it? or keep...

CONVECTION HEATING SYSTEM ANY-ONE KNOW ABOUT THEM?

Ok, Our system of convection heating is the one with the air ducts and hot water combo. Basically, the oil fired burner heats the hot water in the pipes, which are positioned over a heated coil/fan at 2 locations in the house. The coil/fan then blows the hot air thats comes off the pipes...

    Oil fired burner inside house!

I'm guessing you dont rate the system :? we are thinking of getting a modern (pref quiet???) boiler to replace the noise that it blasts out. Do you recommend any? Also would you suggest moving it outside?

    Oil fired burner inside house!

yes i think it is an LPG fired system, I know nothing about heating systems but I can tell you that theres a firing mechanism which you can see through a blue plastic disc. The burner starts then ignites into a flame, which start burning the oil. Is there specific legislation for these...

    Oil fired burner inside house!

Okay, I bought a house that uses a convection heating system to heat the rooms. I had a survey done last year - all was okay, but a friend of mine who installs boilers couldnt believe that the burner was situated inside the house! (its downstairs in basement). He thinks its highly...

    Loose fill loft insulation

Ok, due to the space in the loft I have to use loose fill stuff. Questions is - do I have to keep it away from the spot halogens or is it ok just to pump it in.

    Garden WET WET WET....

I'm not too sure what the legalities are as it seems to be happening underground. You would need to weigh up cost of a legal bill V creating a solution which IMO would be cheaper and better to do. Why not put it through home insurance.
