Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of the mould in my attic, that covers the masonery brickwork.

Its basically causing the wall in living room to blister.

I dont want to put a heater up there for safety reasons, but is it safe to scrape off? or cover it with something?

Thanks Joe-90 for diagnosis.

It is efflorescence.

Mineral crystals, it is not mould.

the problem is dampness in the wall.

Have you cured the damp yet?

Brush or scrape it off. When the wall has got, and stays, dry, it will stop coming out.

Do not cover it. This will just take longer to dry out.

Heating it is a waste of time and money. Cure the damp.
