hi all just a quick question iv got a couple of upvc windows to fit in my garage just wondering do i need to run a bead of silicone across bottom of window before i screw the sill on or just screw it straight on many thanx nathan

yr what i have done is put building plastic 6 foot up the walls right the way around the internal skin and put it up against the inside of the door jamb and then insulate the reveals and then screw plaster board over the lot to act as a vapour barrer is this on the right track

thanx for the reply john i was thinking of putting building plastic up against the building as well to stop it would this be ok to do and ill tank the walls inside with a tanking solution cheers nathan

hi thanx for reply iv put fence paint on it the reason is the roofers are nt coming till friday and its ben spitting with rain most of the days lately so did nt want the boards to swell will it affect the felt sticking to the surface

hi all thanx for the replys been on the roof all day added in lots of additional timbers to the edges of the building and under each 8x4 sheet of 3/4 shuttering ply it is solid as a rock now just need to pack the ply up now with packers to get the ply flat all the way across the roof so it does...

thanx for reply sorry about the caps lock thing the roof is about 7m x 4m the wall plate timber is a bit rotten so ill have to change that one for sure the rest are nt to bad its a lean too roof up against the next door neighbours garage so cant change the height much cause it needs it go back...
