    External 12v psu

thanks, I'll have a look for some of those. I've seen few 12v 60w led supplies which claim to be for outside use. Are these any good in this scenario?

    source of springs

In the end I ordered from Ashfield Springs. Much easier to find the specification I wanted, no minimum order or quantity, and effectively delivered before 1pm next day.

Can anyone recommend a plug in 13 amp socket that can be controlled via WiFi, and has an api that will allow me to control it with my own code? Thanks

    source of springs

Thanks. RS have expanded their range a lot since their early days. the only downside of buying from them is you can only buy by the pack (10 springs per pack Z)

    source of springs

Can anyone suggest a source for individual compression springs? I'm after a couple that will fit on m6 or m8 threaded rod, around 200N for complete compression, and 30 to 40mm long. Thanks

    Nylon

Its for a cheese press. They are often made of wood, but to me there is too much moisture around. Plastic of some form just seems a better idea. (And nice to work in a different material for a change.) HDPE may be a suitable alternative, but I'm need to investigate how much it will flex under...

    Nylon

Thanks that looks very interesting. As I don't seem to be able to buy square bar, how difficult is Nylon to cut with handtools? I'm not concerned about precision - as long as it does not end up looking like a dogs dinner. Lloyd

    Picture of the week!™

0844 numbers introduced in 2000 I think, so assuming that the cab labelling was done at the same time as cabling, that may help date it.

    Radiator with towel rail?

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the Stelrad ones, but I don't think I can get the output in the space (it only comes in horizontal form). However, it did lead me to the Steldrad Vertical Ultra (brochure) which may do the job.

    Radiator with towel rail?

Yes to DG and heating above. Concrete floor. Have thought about and rejected. Not really in a position to knock the kitchen about, and the only possible location is where we stand most of the time to cook. I don't want heat directed at me like that. I've seen plenty of radiators that will...

    Radiator with towel rail?

The room is about 3mx6m on N-S axis. North wall external, south internal. Large (2m x 1m) west facing window. Poor insulation. One online calculator said about 4000btu for the radiator, but happy to hear other views.

    Radiator with towel rail?

Who said anything about a bathroom or wanting a towel rad? This is for a kitchen which currently has an woefully inadequate towel 'ladder' to heat the room. I'm not looking for a towel rad - I want a standard rad with a towel rail as part of the design.

    Radiator with towel rail?

Can any one suggest a radiator with an integrated towel rail? Needs to be about 500mm wide and 4000ish btu output -so expecting it to be a vertical panel type. I don't want the standard ladder style towel rail - it just gets insulated with towels! The DQ RT does take an optional towel rail...
