    Trusses

In the process of planning an extension to my house, the extension would be at 90 degrees to the existing house, making it an "L" shape and would give me 2 valleys. Some of the trusses would rest on the wallplate of the 2 new exterior walls, but I am wondering how they are secured to the...

New PSU fitted and working the old PSU is definately goosed, there is a rather large resistor burnt out, probable cause is the fan seizing. Thanks everyone for your input.

    Computer PSU...

Thanks for that but I'd rather not. Only last night I was looking for a bigger SD mem card and went to E-buyer, good price ,but owing to my location (Scottish islands) they wanted an extra £15 postage :x on top of the existing postage for delivery to me, a little over the top for an item that...

    Computer PSU...

It's an Evesham Vale with athlon700 with a ATX motherboard (K7 pro), It's getting on in computer years but does fine for surfing etc. Can't really justify a new machine so soon after xmas (although there is some tempting deals just now  ) so may try a new PSU. Plug fuse been...

    Computer PSU...

Continuity on the on/off switch. No power on the HD leads 12v or 5v. Cooling fan on the PSU is "lumpy" not put a voltage across that yet but feels a bit suspect. Are PSU's pretty standard as far as the wiring connections go? This one is rated at 250Watt.

    Cannot delete anything...

The hard disk has 10gb spare at the moment, when I double click on the recycle bin or open or explore, I get an image of a small torch going back and forth although it is trying to search for the bin contents but never actually finds anything. If that makes sense!!

    25mm MDPE and frost...

The next nearest supply is the bathroom but it's not mains, so of no use. The only other option is to Tee in above the service valve under the kitchen sink and drop the pipe back under the floor (where the MDPE is) but I would still have to run the pipe to the back of the house. Thanks anyway.

    25mm MDPE and frost...

I'm planning to Tee into the incoming 25mm MDPE (where it is exposed) under the floor of the house and run the new pipe along a floor joist and exit through the opposite wall. Does it still need to be buried in this situation?

    25mm MDPE and frost...

Will be installing an outside tap in the near future, the route will be from the front of the house (incomming supply) to the back of the house under the floor (approx 10m) using 25mm MDPE. The pipe will go through the wall below DPC level then a 90* bend and continue in vertical plane in MDPE...
