UPDATE: just incase anybody has a similar problem I thought I'd let you know that the problem was with the pump. Thank you all for your help. John

remove central screw and water jets from pump

Sorry for starting another thread, but I don't know how relevant this is to my previous CH problem, or if it isn't at all relevant and I'm doing something wrong! (Overview of problem to date: Worcester 350 combi boiler gives HW but CH doesn't work. Have replaced thermistor and this hasn't...

    Worcester 350 CH problem

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I changed the thermistor but this hasn't helped! If it were a faulty 'anticycle delay' would the whole PCB require replacing? Thanks.

    Worcester 350 CH problem

When I switch the CH on, the boiler fires up and the radiators get hot, however, after a min or so, the pressure gauge rises very quickly from 1.3 to 2 bar at which point the boiler switches itself off and doesn't come back on (unless I switch the whole thing off and re-start. On doing so, the...

    Worcester 350 DHW heat exchanger

Many thanks for the prompt and no nonesense replies! (Even though I'd love to try and fix it myself, I really don't want to bite off more than I can chew and have an even bigger problem at the end).

    Worcester 350 DHW heat exchanger

Assuming a basic amount of DIY skill/knowledge, but not being a professional or corgi registered etc, how difficult would it be to replace the water to water heat exchanger on a Worcester 350 combi boiler? Looking at the manual, everything seems straight forward, the only bit I'm concerned...

Worcester 350 diverter valve? HW off, but still it comes!

Many thanks Terrywookfit. Nobody has been playing with the electrics, of that I'm sure. However, could you tell me what a flow switch is (it's purpose etc) and what would happen if it were faulty? Many thanks.

Worcester 350 diverter valve? HW off, but still it comes!

    1) is that because there's two seperate pumps on the 350 (one for HW and CH?) i.e. no diverter required (or am I just making things up again?) 2) No, sorry, I mean that if I flick the HW switch on the front of the boiler to off, but then turn the HW taps on, I still get HW coming from the...

Worcester 350 diverter valve? HW off, but still it comes!

Dear all, two related questions for you: 1) Does a Worcester 350 combi boiler have a diverter valve (stupid question I know, but I can't find a spare part for it?! Is it called something else?) 2) When I switch the HW switch off on the front of the boiler, HW keeps coming from the taps...

Worcester 350 CH (central heating) cuts out after 2 mins.

To be fair, at cost, resistors may well be 3 pence, however, unless you buy in bulk or have very cheap delivery, the price of a resistor will not be 3 pence to the laymen. In addition, it will also involve measuring it's resistance (assuming the perosn has a multimeter or equivalent) and so from...

Worcester 350 CH (central heating) cuts out after 2 mins.

Seeing as though one can buy thermistors for under £ 10, I think I'll start here and see what happens once I've replaced it!! Thanks for your suggestions and comments.

Worcester 350 CH (central heating) cuts out after 2 mins.

Dear all, When I switch on the CH on my Worcester 350 combi boiler, the boiler fires up and all 6 radiators (over 2 floors) heat up within a matter of minutes. However, after 2 - 3 mins, the boiler switches itself off but then never fires up again. (Hot water is always available on demand...

Worcester 350 overheating! But is it really? Not thermostat

Excuse my ignorance Tony, but is there a simple way of checking the heat input or can this only be done by a repair man with specialised equiptment?

All I need to do is move a socket! (w/o getting a shock)

You are absolutely right I'm not confident. However, I have moved plugs before, but only by switching the main power off to the whole house, which is why, this time, I'd like to do it slightly more scientifically/professionally, and work out what does what. I.e. if by flicking the...

All I need to do is move a socket! (w/o getting a shock)

Thanks for ur replies. There is enough cable etc to where i want to move the sockets, and I won't be drilling into any other cables, so I'm not worried on that score. I know that when switch off the 'kitchen' switch that the socket I'm interested in moving is definitely dead. (I've plugged...

Worcester 350 overheating! But is it really? Not thermostat

Hi Tony, I'm not sure if they checked the set-up of the gas valves, however, all I can say is that the boiler was working fine last winter and only did it recently start overheating. John

All I need to do is move a socket! (w/o getting a shock)

Hi everybody, All I need to do is move a wall socket a few feet. However, I’m extremely scared that I’m going to give myself a nasty shock! Underneath my stairs is a fuse box….the fuse box has various levers/switches which are annotated as ‘kitchen’, ‘living room’ etc, when I flick one of...
