Low Energy lightbulbs, where can I get some?

Cheers and1145 but I've already put an order in. Thanks for the offer though. In case anyone wants to know I found the right sizes at one place only, the gbbulbs place that ban-all-sheds (thanks ban!) suggested. At 93mm long they seem just perfect.

Low Energy lightbulbs, where can I get some?

I found some "micro" lights that were tiny and 7w but they weren't bright enough. I need something thats producing at least a 60w light output.

    Filling cracks

I had some internal plastering done just over a year ago and some cracks have appeared in the last couple of months, some hairline and a few bigger ones. Any suggestions why they've appeared?. The surface was cement rendered (and bone dry) before plastering but it was done in the middle of...

    Water Hammer Arrester

I've got mains pressure plastic plumbing and a combi boiler. Whereever the kitchen taps are turned on there is loud noise (water hammer) coming from one of the upstair pipes. I can't get to it to clip it down, if that would help. Saw something in the papers about a water hammer arrester...

    Low Energy Daylight lightbulbs

Normal low energy lightbulbs run at a temperature of 2700K to produce a yellowish light. You can get low energy daylight lightbulbs (www.yourlights.co.uk) that simulate the light of the sun at noon but they run at a temperature of 6000K. If I fit a daylight bulb will I need to replace my...

    How to hang off cladding?

Certainly did, tried different brands and even tried selotaping it in place to give it extra time to bond. Was going to try out the LookNoNails stuff today but on the back of the tube it says that "At least one surface must be porous" so I'm not so sure now. There must be some industrial...

    How to hang off cladding?

Is there a glue out there that can attached two pieces of (u)pvc? I'm trying to hang a pvc conduit (to carry some cables) to the underside of a upvc roof cladding. Tried various silicones/glues but the conduit keeps falling off after a couple of days. I'm trying to avoid screwing the conduit...

    Fresh Render needs sealing?

Zampa, just a short note to say "Thanks". I took your advice and went for the three coats as you'd suggested. The painter's just finished and it all looks smashing. Cheers!

    Fresh Render needs sealing?

I spoke with the blokes in B&Q and Wickes and both suggested sealing it first. The painter didn't say what he wanted to seal it with but the bloke in B&Q suggested thinning down Unibond Exterior PVA, said that he'd just his place the same way. Apparantly you can thin down the first coat of...

    Fresh Render needs sealing?

I had the outside walls cement rendered about 9 months ago and want to paint it with some (Dulux Weathershield) masonary paint. The painter says that its all got to be sealed first otherwise the paint'll peel off in a couple of years. The Dulux people say that you can't seal new render...
