Change dhw thermister & while you're at it take out flow restrictor as it will soon reduce water flow

You probably have a problem with air hence no circulation causing overheat. It should reset when boiler cools down again but if there is no water movement it will overheat again. Are there any bleed caps anywhere to release the air & have you bled the pump

What kind of system is it? on a y plan you should be able to have htg only but if you have a 2 port valve on htg side (c plan i think) then you will have no control over water when htg is on

Vaillant or worcester but probably not for that price unless short cuts are taken

When you state no hot water out of tap is it cold or no water coming out at all? Assuming the former you will be running the c/htg system without any water in it so make sure small tank in loft is full,& try to remove air (there may be a bleed cap on the flow pipe to cylinder)

When hot tap is running feel the 22mm pipes under boiler if they get hot you need a new diverter valve

The flue overheat stat must be fitted in case the flue baffle has deteriorated causing excessively high flue gases

No clarification that boiler is positive fan flue as i mentioned earlier. If it is then NO attempt of a repair should be made using incorrect seal

Budget boiler should have got a better one

If your case seal has gone your boiler will be dangerous especially if as i believe it is a positive fanned flue which is probably why he gave you a co detector rather than risk going to court accused of corporate manslaughter

Why not replace pipes with barrier plastic

If you lose pressure in a few days & the blow off is dripping then all that is needed is a safety blow off valve (easy enough to fit)

How do you know pressure is 1.5 bar unless you have dropped 2 screws & lowered electric box? Have you got any external controls ie is black link still connected or do you have a room stat etc

You cannot fit a hob on a flex in other words you must get a r.g.i. to fit hob with rigid or semi rigid connection

The ideal classic is NOT a combi boiler what control plan do you have ie y plan s plan etc as valve may be defective
