I had some new plumbing installed by a company, I am now having problems
with my boiler, it lights up goes out after a minute and makes some very loud noises. I have no hot water coming through the taps, the pump in the airing cupboard is hot and some of the pipes but no hot water coming through. Can you help please

Thanks

Sounds like a double whammy air lock - get them back to shift it or run a search of the forum - there's loads here.

You could also have a blockage on the heating feed pipe but that wouldn't expalin your lack of running water.

When you state no hot water out of tap is it cold or no water coming out at all? Assuming the former you will be running the c/htg system without any water in it so make sure small tank in loft is full,& try to remove air (there may be a bleed cap on the flow pipe to cylinder)

I expect she means the hot tap runs cold water.

Its a pity the schools dont teach how to use the language better.

Sounds like a lack of water in the system perhaps due to a blocked feed pipe or an empty F&E tank.

It sounds as if your contractors were either not very competent or were totally unconcerned about your well being over the weekend.

It's a pity that hypocrisy isn't a light bulb that flashes on top of your head to warn unsuspecting customers.
