    Ah i se. 2 coats... I always thought bonding was for low suction ? so what would i use in my newly built thermalite extension interior ? And dont say dry line... not a fan of it. Much prefare proper plaster. Mick

    Cheers guys, I have seen rust popping out of some render especially on the corners? is this caused by the lathing rusting and will i get this eventually ?

    Basecoat, I am in the process of finishing my small extension (single storey).. I have done ALL the work myself up to now and i do mean ALL.. i have had a lot of help from members of this site though... I had the architect submit the plans for planning and Building control so i cant help you...

    Thanks for the reply. I pay the insurance thing to british gas. You know the one where they come and fix it . The old back boiler gave up last year and they fitted a complete new gas valve or something... didnt cost me anything so will i be covered with that ? Thanks. Mick

    Cheers noseall, If you look at the picture, how will the underlay not form a water trap where it goes down the rafters then meets the fascia board. Once it reaches the board it will have to go up and over. Surely that will create a 40mm rise and hold water? Thanks Mick.
