Best way to finish a pine floor without streaks!

I've sanded down a new pine floor. There are a few bits that seem to be a bit streaky. I have vacuumed up the dust and cleaned all over with white spirit. In the past I have applied a water based floor varnish, but the streaks (lighter patches in the wood grain) still show through. I know...

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

Thanks for the advice guys, again solid! Have re attached the drain plan. Also bought a couple of new traps as the pic attached. Were sold them as anti vac, but I notice that some other anti vac traps have a small air inlet nodule on them - have I been sold the right thing?

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

I've given the whole pipe run a good flushing with the hose pipe, and put a lot of bleach down there. So far the water is now flowing a lot easier and I'm hardly getting any coming back into the shower tray. When I put the cold hose down the shower trap though (as my shower door is not on yet I...

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

Brilliant advice guys, this forum is amazing!! The waste is not reduced at all, it is 40mm throughout. 1. If there is any debris left inside the pipes, sludge etc - is there an agent I can put through the pipes - or is bleach as good as anything? 2. I will invest in the hep valve for...

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

the sink gurgles a lot when the bath is being emptied. I did not fit a aav which I should have done. Could there be a vacuum being created which is stopping the water from draining freely and if so would an AAC solve this? As a simple experiment, if I disconnect the trap from under the sink...

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

It goes through the external wall then via a 135º bend into a fall fall pipe (not the soil stack). (the type of fall pipe used to take away rainwater from guttering.)

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

Not using the same route as the bath because I would have to take more noggins out of the joists and I can't do that as it will weaken them. My only other option as I see it is to go down the side of the chimney breast, through the living room and into the cellar to the sanilflow. This will...

waste not draining - saniflow or not?

I've installed my bathroom waste, as per the diagram shown. It has a drop of about 8cm over 4m. The bath was in the same position prior to me altering the layout and it drained away ok. I have used 40mm solvent weld. When draining the bath the water is draining, but it is coming through the...

Slate tile edges - removing saw marks?

I've just laid brazillian black slate (classical flagstones) and removed the saw marks with wet and dry paper to get a perfect smooth black edge!

Tiling internal corners and where to start!

Sorry, I meant the tiles were 400mm 2 so was thinking their won't be much wastage!

Tiling internal corners and where to start!

Yes that's good advice. Is doing it brick bond considerably harder? Obviously more cutting involved but I've already cut the tiles as I've tiled my sink unit with them and it cuts really well, and I can shave only a few millimetres off with the wet saw. Taking into account the fact that the...
